Alpha2 ESA on Coast Guard Vessel | Proven Maritime SATCOM Validation

This video presents the successful deployment and operational validation of the Alpha2 Electronically Steered Array (ESA) antenna installed on a Coast Guard patrol vessel.

The Alpha2 system was integrated and tested under real maritime conditions, including vessel maneuvering, course changes, and continuous motion at sea. Unlike conventional mechanically steered antennas, the electronically steered architecture enables rapid beam switching and stable satellite tracking without mechanical movement, ensuring uninterrupted SATCOM performance during dynamic operations.

The sea trial demonstrates:

• Stable satellite acquisition and tracking under COTM (Communication On-The-Move) conditions

• Reliable data transmission during U-turn and S-turn vessel maneuvers

• Consistent link performance in maritime motion environments

• Operational readiness for patrol, surveillance, and mission-critical communications

Alpha2 ESA is designed for maritime, defense, and government applications requiring high reliability, fast beam steering response, and compact low-profile installation.

This successful deployment validates Alpha2 as a mission-ready SATCOM solution for Coast Guard and maritime security operations.
