from the 19th to the 21st (local time) of this month.

The technology of Korean satellite companies attracted the attention of global officials at the world's largest satellite exhibition, "Satlight Show 2024." The Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, the venue of the event on the 19th (local time), was visited by experts related to satellite communication and military and government officials to see "flat antennas" and mechanical dish antennas made by Korean companies.

The Satellite Show exhibition, which started in 1981, is the world's largest space and aviation exhibition. This year's event was attended by more than 500 global companies with space and aviation technology. In Korea, a total of five companies, including Intelligent Technologies (Intelian Tech), Hanwha Pazer, Global Connet, Contech, and Genmixtec, which are in charge of satellite communication of Hanwha Group, opened their own booths and greeted officials.

Among corporate booths in Korea, the largest number of visitors came to the Intellian Tech booth. The Ga Open (9 a.m.) right before the exhibition was held was also crowded with officials from competitors and partners.

                                                   OW11FL Enterprise Products.

The products they showed the most interest in were Intelligent Tech's "OW11FL Enterprise products, OW10HL compact model and flat-panel man-pack under development. Some visitors were very interested in the three products, asking about the price and speed.

An official at the Intellian Tech booth said, "We received keen attention from the global market for products scheduled to be exhibited and released at this exhibition," adding, "We will strengthen cooperation with new customers and partners through new products in the changing market and actively grow sales through new business strategies."

Hanwha also set up a booth at the exhibition and unveiled its active phase array (AESA) antenna "Pager L3300" and electronic beam steering antenna (ESA) "Pager A7700. It is the first time that the two flat-panel antennas have been introduced to the outside world.

The Pager L3300 is Hanwha's first product that can be used for both commercial and defense purposes. It can be connected to both geostationary and low-orbit satellites. "The Pager L3300 guarantees the connectivity of soldiers active in military combat," said an official at the Hanwha Pager booth. "The uninterrupted connectivity will support them to perform their roles effectively."

The Pager A7700 is a flat-panel antenna dedicated to aviation, which is equipped with two panels attached together. As the antenna is mounted on an airplane, the antenna is larger in size than other flat-panel antennas. It is currently developing the antenna with the aim of mass production next year. "It will be installed on Air France and Lufthansa," a company booth official said. "We are currently in the process of certification."

Global Konet, which unveiled the KA-band OTM antenna 'Konet Omega 2' last year, displayed flat-panel antennas such as 'Konet Flip 42' and 'Konet Alpha 2' that fold up and down this year. The two products are specialized in supporting soldiers dispatched to areas with poor communication conditions such as deserts so that they can communicate smoothly.

Flip-type antennas are already available in other markets, but Global Konet plans to tap into the market by banking on its price competitiveness. "Compared to previous flip-type products, the price is half that of previous ones," said Kim Yeon-gon, CEO of Global Konet. The company will release the product in May this year.

Having successfully launched its first satellite "ContecSat-1" in March this year, CONTEC has strengthened its position in the industry by conducting marketing and business meetings in succession. "We are conducting marketing by talking about beamforming antennas and laser communication with our partners," said Lee Seong-hee, CEO of Contact. "We are currently cooperating with various companies, and we will have a chance to announce related news soon." GenMixtec, which supplies parts to Intelligentech, also set up a booth at one side of the exhibition hall and held a business meeting.
