Global Konet, a company specializing in satellite antennas, and Incheon National University will develop "future unmanned aerial vehicles."


On the 22nd, Global Konet and Incheon National University's industry-academic cooperation group signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement for cooperation in the development of next-generation phased beamforming antennas at Incheon National University. This will strengthen global market competitiveness.


Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate in △ developing leading technologies in the phase arrangement field △ technical cooperation and supporting professional manpower for the conversion of metamaterial technologies △ joint operation of employment-linked programs for professional manpower at Incheon National University △ development of phase array antennas in unmanned moving objects (UAM).

This is a KONET Alpha 2 phase array antenna developed by Global Konet.


The signing ceremony was attended by Park Jong-tae, president of Incheon National University, Kim Kyu-won, head of industry-academic cooperation, Professor Kang Seung-taek, CEO of Global Konet Kim Yeon-gon and Vice President Chung Kyu-sun.


Kim Yeon-gon, CEO of Global Konet, said, "With the agreement with Incheon National University, we look forward to developing the UAM and aviation antenna to secure global leadership." "By sharing the development direction of industrial sites, we will provide high-quality human resources to many partners to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of workers and developing win-win development." CEO Kim added, "Global Konet will make efforts to develop future antenna manufacturing industries by actively participating in the development of low-orbit (LEO) aviation antennas in the future aerospace field."


Incheon National University President Park Jong-tae said, "We will promote mutual development in UAM and space so that the best phase array researchers and Global Konet, which has global technology, can lead the future aviation industry," adding, "We will contribute to the development of the aerospace manufacturing industry through synergy between the two institutions with competitiveness in developing future unmanned aerial antenna technology."
