Global Konet (CEO Kim Yeon-gon), a company specializing in satellite antennas, has signed a large-scale export contract to strengthen its targeting in the global market. Global Konet said it signed an export contract worth 4 million dollars by participating in "Community Asia 2022" held at Singapore Expo from the 1st to the 3rd.
Communications Asia is Asia's largest information and communications fair organized by Infoma Tech, a global information and communication technology (ICT) research institute, and has played a role as a global business venue. However, due to the influence of the Corona pandemic over the past two years, the event has been held only in a non-face-to-face online manner. However, this year, the event was held again at the Singapore exhibition hall, attracting a large number of big tech companies, startups, and investors in the ICT field such as satellites and clouds.
Global Konet received a great response by introducing four types of antennas, including the "KONET Omega KA Band Beamforming ESA Antenna" and the "KONET Alpha 2 ESA Antenna," which were developed so far.
"Global satellite operators showed a lot of interest in our products, which allowed us to further expand our overseas market base," said Kim Yeon-gon, CEO of Global Konet. "We have achieved valuable results by signing a memorandum of understanding for business cooperation with operators in Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Middle East."
Specifically, Global Konet agreed to conduct a test project this year with global satellite operators from Australia and Abu Dhabi, UAE, and signed a contract for supplying beamforming phase array OTM antennas next year.
In this regard, CEO Kim Yeon-gon said, "We were able to confirm the high interest of Middle East, Australian and Asian businesses in the phase array antenna of semiconductor IC chip arrays, which is our company's main product. Through this exhibition, we actively promoted the technology selected for the Korean government's financial support program 'National Innovation Company 1000' and promoted business contracts through a number of technical consultations." In particular, the company explained that it has laid a bridgehead for overseas market expansion by discovering a number of global sales agencies.
Global Konet will continue to participate in overseas exhibitions to promote the excellence of its products and secure competitive global dealerships to strengthen its export capabilities.
