Global Konet Co., Ltd., a South Korean company specializing in electronically steered flat-panel satellite antennas, is ramping up its efforts to enter the Vietnamese satellite communications market. The company recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with OSB Group JSC in Hanoi, Vietnam, establishing a strategic partnership to co-develop advanced satellite communication technologies and equipment.
OSB Group, headquartered in Hanoi, is a prominent telecommunications company operating across sectors including satellite and telecom, system integration (SI), e-commerce and digital technologies, and security and defense.

Under the MOU, the two companies agreed to closely collaborate on the development and manufacturing of flat-panel antennas for integrated LEO (Low Earth Orbit) and GEO (Geostationary Orbit) satellite communication systems. The partnership aims to co-develop and produce next-generation satellite communication equipment that can be applied across a wide range of industries.
As part of the agreement, Global Konet and OSB Group will initiate joint technology development projects and design specific collaborative programs to ensure efficient and effective outcomes. Both sides also committed to actively exploring additional areas of cooperation to expand their business reach and maximize the value of their collaboration.
At the signing ceremony, Youngon Kim, CEO of Global Konet, stated:
“Vietnam is a rapidly advancing technology market with enormous growth potential. We believe OSB Group is the ideal strategic partner for expanding our presence across Southeast Asia.”
Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of OSB Group, expressed optimism about the collaboration, saying:
“Through close cooperation with Global Konet — a leader in ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) antenna technology — we expect to significantly enhance our capabilities in researching and manufacturing satellite communication equipment. This will also help us respond effectively to the growing demand across key sectors such as aviation, maritime, security, defense, and IoT.”
